LACUNA FUNGAL NAIL METHOD
Fungal Nails (Onychomycosis) a superficial fungal infection which is difficult to treat. It is the skin beneath the nail which contains the active infection and some topical fungal nail treatments are unable to penetrate the nail plate.
The Lacuna Method is a different treatment as it uses fenestration (small holes in the nail plate) as a method to allow the antifungal agent to pass through the nail to the infection beneath.
PEDISAFE NAIL RECONSTRUCTION
An enhancing, remodelling and nail correction system.
A specific UV cured polymer gel is used to create an instant cover up for unsightly nails or it can be used as a protective/cosmetic cover up whilst treating fungal nails.
Pedisafe can be used along side Lacuna Fungal Nail Method and with Pedisafe having antifungal and antibacterial properties it helps to encourage healthy nail growth.
HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE NAILS THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM A PEDISAFE TREATMENT:
Nails damaged by trauma
Psoriatic Nails
Split Nails
Involuted Nails
Fungal
Thickened Nails
If this proves to be unsuccessful or there is recurrent infection then nail surgery can be considered.
Nail surgery is carried out at the clinic and takes approximately 1 hour to 1hr 30mins. Post and preop advice is given out and a medical assessment is carried out before treatment to establish suitability. A follow up appointment is included for redressing and assessment of the wound.
